  • 12 oz beef sirloin thinly sliced
  • 8 oz rice noodles
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1 red bell pepper thinly sliced

For the Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp chili paste adjust to taste

For Cooking:

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp grated ginger
  • 3 garlic cloves minced

Garnish:

  • 2 tbsp green onions chopped

Instructions

Prepare the Rice Noodles

  • Cook the rice noodles according to the package instructions. Drain, rinse under cold water to stop the cooking process, and set aside.

Sauté Aromatics

  • Heat sesame oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat.
  • Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, sautéing for about 1 minute until fragrant.

Cook the Beef

  • Add the thinly sliced beef to the skillet and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently until browned and just cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.

Stir-Fry Vegetables

  • In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets and red bell pepper slices. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until the vegetables are tender-crisp but still vibrant.

Make the Sauce

  • Return the cooked beef to the skillet. Add hoisin sauce, soy sauce, and chili paste. Stir well to combine, ensuring the beef and vegetables are evenly coated.

Combine Noodles

  • Add the cooked rice noodles to the skillet, tossing them gently to coat them evenly in the sauce. Cook for another 1-2 minutes until everything is heated through.

Garnish and Serve

  • Transfer the noodles to serving plates or bowls. Garnish with chopped green onions for a pop of color and fresh flavor. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Make It Your Own
  • Protein Options: Substitute beef with chicken, shrimp, or tofu for a different take on this dish.
  • Vegetable Swaps: Use frozen stir-fry vegetables for convenience or add carrots, snap peas, or mushrooms for variety.
Adjust the Heat
  • If you prefer less spice, reduce the chili paste or omit it entirely. For more heat, add extra chili paste or a dash of sriracha.
Enhance the Texture
  • Sprinkle crushed peanuts or sesame seeds over the finished dish for added crunch and flavor.
