- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 packet 0.13 oz Kool-Aid powder (any flavor)
- 2 cups powdered sugar for dusting
- Gel food coloring optional
- Cooking spray or oil for greasing
Lightly grease a silicone mat or parchment-lined surface, spatula, and hands.
In a saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Stir until dissolved.
Bring to a boil without stirring and cook until the mixture reaches 260°F.
Remove from heat. Stir in Kool-Aid and food coloring (if using).
Pour onto greased surface. Let sit for 1–2 minutes until safe to handle.
Stretch and pull candy for 5–10 minutes until glossy and firm.
Shape into ropes. Dust with powdered sugar and let cool completely.
Cut into desired lengths and dust again if needed.
